Will Obama fight homelessness by making homes mandatory, and fining people who don't have homes?
Q. This approach worked so well in MA to reduce the number of people who don't have health insurance. They made health insurance mandatory, and if people didn't buy it, the state made them pay a fine equal to the cost of insurance. Why not take the same approach to joblessness or homelessness? Why not reduce homelessness by making homes mandatory, and if people don't get a home, make them pay a fine equal to the cost of a home? Wouldn't that make just as much sense? Why wouldn't that be just as effective for fighting homelessness?

A. I hear Canada will find it's citizen a home if they do not have one. But of course you don't have a choice where you live (and why should you) so a lot of good people are mixed in with low scum criminals and there is no segregation, in fact they make sure there isn't.
